Black Salt is the New Grey

Black salt is a vegan's friend, and a must-have in every vegan kitchen. Black salt gives dishes the flavor of eggs, so it is an important ingredient in tofu scrambles and chickpea omelettes. Also called Kala Namak, it is available in most specialty food shops and health food stores. This salt has a strong smell, due to its high sulphur content. But don't let that stop you from using it in your cooking. It's wonderful!
